Come and join us on a Wednesday morning for relaxing outdoor quality time with your child. Babes in the Wood is a preschooler forest school session for 2-5yrs and their parents/carers. We play games, make bushcrafts, have a fire, cook, get muddy and have lots of fun outdoors. Its a wonderful opportunity for your children and you to make new friends. We always have a cup of tea/coffee and cake. We have 6 sessions each half term. Each session has activities based around a story or nature theme.Children can choose to join in activites as they wish and a great emphesis on sessions is on free play. Sessions run from 9.30-11.30am. Price is £55 per half term, siblings £35 We have some places available for our Autumn term as some of our chiuldren have moved on to start school Session Activites include Exploring and playing in the woods Craft and nature activities Firelighting Cooking Whittling Wood crafts using tools such as bowsaws, drills and peelers Games ( hide and seek and whats the time Mr wolf are our favourites) Story telling Mud kitchen Rope swing and hammock Dens and shelter Exploring and following trails Using clay FAQs What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? Seeley Copse wood is close to the Goodwood hotel. As you drive past with the hotel on the left, Seeley Copse is after the hotel, the second turning on the right. There is a small green sign that says Home Farm and Seeley Copse wood. Drive up the concrete drive until you reach a hardstanding by the dairy. We will be there waiting to meet you. It is advisable for children to wear long sleeved tops and trousers with enclosed footwear - wellies are perfect. it can be cool in the woods so bringing an extra layer for yourself and child is advisable. We have cake and tea and coffee half way through the session. We have water and cups but many parents bring their own childs bottle and a snack if something other then cake is needed. We often do a bit of cooking. The ground if fairly dry and accessible by pushchair if a smaller sibling is coming along too. Under 2's are free. We often have small siblings from babies upward.
