To accompany the current exhibition-house tour, House of Dreams, The Johnston Collection is presenting a Study Series called Dream Places.
This series of eight lectures will reflect on the themes of dreams and dreamers whilst exploring the artistic, social and cultural worlds where art, fashion, architecture and design meet.

- Wed 31 July, 10am: Dream On. Jung and Freud with Sophie Errey.
- Wed 3 Aug, 10am: Dreaming of the Beloved. Heloise in literature from the 18th century to the present with Constant J. Mews and readings by Maryna Mews.
- Tues 16 Aug, 10am: Dreaming of the Departed. Australian mourning portraits with Margot Riley.
- Wed 17 Aug, 10am: The House Museum. Where house and art museum converge, with Georgina Walker.
- Wed 24 Aug, 10am: Chinoiserie. A dream of Cathay with Sophie Errey.
- Wed 31 Aug, 10am: Dreams of Red Shoes. Magic and escape with Hilary Davidson.
- Thurs 1 Sep, 12pm: Dream Libraries. My own and those I have visited, with John Byrne.
- Wed 14 Sep, 10am: Dreams of Destiny. The progeny of Bess of Hardwick with Dorothy Morgan.
