Live for Chocolate 2016
Nanticoke Health Services is again joining forces with the Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce and the City of Seaford to promote women's health awareness at the 3rd Annual LIVE FOR CHOCOLATE on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Downtown Seaford. The event will include food, wine tasting, games, education, shopping, music and more.
The event will feature a scavenger hunt through Downtown Seaford and just across the bridge in Blades. Between 5:00 pm and 8:30 pm, you can hunt through 15 Chamber businesses to find clues to solve your puzzle. Each stop will feature a free sample of a chocolate treat! Scavenger hunt maps and puzzle pickup locations will be published on the event website (www.nanticoke.org/liveforchocolate) before the event.
Completed entries must be in the door prize box located under the tent in Gateway Park no later than 8:30 PM for a chance to win one of 30 prizes! Prizes will be drawn during the reception beginning at 8:30 PM at Gateway Park. You do not have to be present to win, but your puzzle must be stamped at each of the required stops and your answers must be correct.
In addition to Chamber businesses, many of your favorite vendors from last year will once again be selling gifts, jewelry, and items for the home and will be located at the Nanticoke River Yacht Club in Blades and at some of the clue stops. Transportation will be offered between Blades and Seaford by buses at marked bus stops.
City Hall will feature many activities and treats located both inside and outside including hors d'ouevres provided by Seaford High School Culinary Arts, a chocolate fountain hosted by Sweet Serenity Chocolates, survivors' sashes provided by Spicer Bros. Construction and women's health education. Wine tastings will be provided by Liquid Assets located at Your Sister's Closet and by Harvest Ridge Winery at the Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce. Food will also be available for purchase by food vendors located near Gateway Park, such as Amity Coffee, Rita's Ice and more!
For the gentlemen who come with their wives or significant others, Dick's Barber Shop will again be hosting The Man Cave from 5:00 to 8:30 PM with refreshments provided by 3rd Wave Brewing Company. There will also be live music located at Procino Wells & Woodland, LLC and Gallery 107.
New this year will be a raffle for an original "Live for Chocolate" framed painting by local artist Tammy Kearney. Tickets are on sale at Gallery 107 in Seaford now through the event. Tickets cost a donation each or 3 for a donation. Proceeds will benefit Nanticoke Women's Health Services & the Nanticoke River Arts Council/Gallery 107.
This year's event will feature several event souvenirs. Special event t-shirts will be available for purchase at Fantasy Beauty Salon & the Nanticoke River Yacht Club for each. New event tote bags featuring artwork by local artist, Tammy Kearney, will be available for sale at the Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce & Nanticoke River Yacht Club for each. Also new this year will be Signature Live for Chocolate wine from Harvest Ridge Winery, which will be available for purchase at the Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds from the wine sales will benefit Nanticoke Women's Health Services.
