The INdiana 200 will travel from Hammond to Pokagon - Fort Wayne to Muncie - Richmond to Rising Sun - Clifty Falls to Corydon - French Lick to Tell City - Evansville to New Harmony - Vincennes to Terre Haute - Bloomington to Indy - Turkey Run to Prophets Town - Crown Point to Marquette Park - and stops in between.  The 200 will be in Indianapolis October 15th for the Bicentennial Torch Hoosier Homecoming. The 200 is a trip 200 years in the making:  200 hours of Hoosier discoveries, exploration and celebration!  It's a journey delighting in 200 years of INdiana's INspired and INspiring peoples, places, histories, and traditions of INnovation, plus its INcredible Fall Colors. The INdiana 200 celebrates the past and anticipates the future.  That includes the hotels selected for the tour:  historic inns in state parks, the brand new Courtyard with its Erskine-Green Training Institute, the iconic French Lick Resort, and others.  The 200 will visit places long renowned in Indiana, like New Harmony and Fort Wayne.  But, then there will be little out of the way spots, and places leading the way in technology, stewardship and research.  There will be architecture, sports, forests, the Ohio, the Wabash and Lake Michigan.  And, every afternoon will include the 2:00 toast, in honor of Indiana itself. The tour includes lodging, private transportation, two meals per day, admissions, events and engaging professional guides (95, double occupancy).  Seating is limited.  The coach will depart from the Indiana Welcome Center, 7770 Corinne Drive, Hammond, located just southwest of the I-80/94 Kennedy Avenue interchange.  Hoosiers and others can buy their INdiana 200 tickets here.   Day 1 | IN200 Hours 1 - 23 | Northern Indiana Departing the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond we'll begin our 200 hour celebration of the state with a visit to the spot where Indiana begins, in the last part of the state to be settled.  Then we head east following the Lake Michigan shore, on to South Bend, Elkhart and Pokagon State Park near Angola, where we'll overnight at the historic Potawatomi Inn.  By day's end we'll have explored Indiana from west to east, passing successively through dunes, marsh, Amish and RV country along the way. Day 2 | IN200 Hours 24 – 47 | Eastern Indiana Today, we journey from Pokagon State Park to Muncie, visiting Fort Wayne en route.  We'll discover historic military ground, high flying aces, glamorous cars, spiritual places, and the legacies of glass making.  Our hotel this evening, the Courtyard, is newly opened and already creating inclusive legacies of self-sufficiency for Indiana's third century. Day 3 | IN200 Hours 48 – 71 | Southeastern Indiana The road today will take us from Muncie, to Richmond and on to the Ohio River town of Madison.  We'll encounter the Quakers, Shawnees and the Underground Railroad, along with artisans and industry, and, of course, beautiful Clifty Falls State Park.  Just outside historic Madison, we'll overnight at contemporary Clifty Falls Inn. Day 4 | IN200 Hours 72 - 95 | Central Southern Indiana Leaving Madison we'll weave our way through central southern Indiana to arrive at French Lick Resort for a two night stay.  Our route will take us from the Ohio, through Indiana's first capital, Corydon, into Brown County, and on to West Baden.  Hilly, forested and picturesque, the area has inspired generations of artistry. Day 5 | IN200 Hours 96 – 119 | French Lick + the Hoosier National Forest Across millennia, the site of French Lick has been a restorative spot for animals and humans alike.  Now it's our turn.  This will be a day of leisure – whether you want to get pampered at the spa, take a hotel tour and high tea, visit museums, discover the Hoosier National Forest, try your luck at the casino, or shoot a round of golf – it is yours to relax and enjoy as you wish. Day 6 | IN200 Hours 120 – 143 | Indiana's Ohio River Country Indiana's earliest settlements were along the Ohio River, and when we depart French Lick we'll return to the Ohio to continue our westward journey through historic towns, occasionally walking in the footsteps of the Lincoln family, who moved to Indiana in 1816.  After visiting Evansville, we'll settle in for the night at the New Harmony Inn, on the Wabash River a short distance above its confluence with the Ohio. Day 7 | IN200 Hours 144 – 167 | Southwestern Indiana Southwest Indiana is distinguished by the Wabash River, a stream both separating it from Illinois and opening it to the rest of Indiana.  It was here in the American Revolution that a strategic battle was won, where the territorial capital was later built, and where two utopian communities settled.  After taking in New Harmony we'll head upstream to Vincennes and beyond, ending our day in Indianapolis. Day 8 | IN200 Hours 168 – 191 | Indianapolis Today the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay will arrive in Indianapolis for the Hoosier Homecoming Celebration – we'll be there to welcome it, and to enjoy the many special bicentennial events happening throughout the capital city.  While in Indianapolis for two nights our base of operations will be the Crowne Plaza Union Station Hotel:  An enticingly repurposed historic structure in the revitalized heart of the capital city, it is within convenient walking distance of all major cultural attractions and the capitol buildings.  You may spend the day enjoying any of the celebrations you wish.  The evening will include a celebratory dinner. Day 9 | IN200 Hours 192 – 200 | Upper Western Indiana This is the day of our own homecoming, the finale of our 200 hour celebration of the state.  We'll begin it with a rail excursion, enjoying a made-to-order sunrise breakfast aboard the newly christened Hoosier Train as it carries us to Lafayette in grand style.  From Lafayette we'll visit Prophetstown State Park, recently dedicated to honor legacies of the peoples for which Indiana is named.  Moving north, we'll visit Rensselaer, the Grand Kankakee Marsh and Crown Point.  Our final destination will be Marquette Park, to gaze out on the timeless waters lapping Indiana's shore since long before it was discovered, the site of a multitude of Hoosier innovations and achievements.  Then, we'll return home to the Indiana Welcome Center from which we began our 200 hour journey celebrating Indiana, the state.
