2016 Neuroscience Young Doctors Program
A Neuroscience Training Program for Middle & High School Students like no other!!!.  If your child is intersted in the brain or wants to become a neuroscientists or neurosurgeon...then Register for one of the 20 slots available for the 2016  UCLA  NEUROSCIENCE YOUNG DOCTORS TRAINING PROGRAM July 28 and 29, 2016  This is a 2 day education program at UCLA designed to teach young teenagers about the brain, brain injury and the fields of neuroscience.  Students in this program will get to July 28th 2016 (9:00am-2:30pm)   Introduction to the Brain ( see brain cells)   Dissect a Sheep Brain   Lunch Included   Learn about Brain Fuels and Nutrition   Learn how to Perform Neurological Exam       July 29th2016 (9:00am-2:30pm)  Neurological Testing on Parents  See a Neurosurgical Case Discussed  Zombies and Brain Control and History of Brain Injuries  Lunch  Learn about Brain Diseases   Practice What You Learned with Case Studies   Students will receive a lab coat, badge, notebook, stethoscope, penlight, and course certificate   • This program will be offered only to the first 20 registrants (12-17 year olds) • Upon registering for the event a welcome email  with event schedule will be sent Students will be taught by Neurosurgery faculty, nurses and graduate students.  Sponsered by the UCLA  Department of Neurosurgery & the Brain Injury Research Center
