There was an event of Swiss Milk today - the Swiss society for selling more milk to unsuspecting customers, a part of the huge agricultural lobby in our country. Apparently, today was the "day of milk" because the "Schweizer Bauernverband" (the main coordinators of aforementioned agricultural lobby) said so.
What was special today was that vegans got organized against the drinking of milk because of course drinking milk is intricately linked to eating meat - after all, cows don't give milk when they don't bear calves, which are in turn then eaten. Protesters handed out flyers and were dressed up as cows.
This is one such protester. Most of them had the cow mask on the top of their heads, but this one was in proper attire :D
We're barbarians, right? Personally, I'm too much of a hedonist and egoist to stop eating meat. But there isn't much rational justification for killing animals for food.
